Irish coffee is easy to make and is a delicious concoction. For first-timers, you do not have to worry - the process is simple and the result is delicious.

Irish Coffee Recipe

These are the ingredients you need to make the perfect blend of Irish coffee:

  1. 2 teaspoons of brown sugar
  2. 1 cup of brewed coffee (original or decaf)
  3. 16 ounces of hot water
  4. ½ cup of heavy cream
  5. 2 ounces of any Irish Whiskey

These are the basic ingredients that are absolutely essential for a classic cup of Irish coffee.

How To Make Irish Coffee - Step By Step

(Makes 2 Cups of Irish Coffee)

Step 1:

Make your coffee to your preference, blends and strength - preferably cafetiere or filter coffee - enough, so that it can fill 2 mugs or cups.

You can regular caffeinated coffee or decaffeinated coffee - it doesn't matter!

Step 2:

Pour the coffee into two different mugs and add 1 teaspoon of sugar to each one. 

Step 3:

After you have added the sugar, you need to pour the sugary water mixture over some hot coffee. Make sure to dissolve it so that the sugar dissolves

Step 4:

As the sugar dissolves pour in the 2 ounces of whiskey.

Step 5:

Take a separate bowl to make your whipped cream. Add in some heavy cream and blend it with a hand mixer or electric one. Mix it till the cream is whisked perfectly and is light and frothy.

Step 6:

Before spooning the cream meringue, make sure to blend and mix the coffee mixture. Take a warm spoon and place a layer of the whipped cream on the Irish coffee.

Step 7:

Garnish with whatever you want and you are done! Enjoy your Irish Coffee!
