For those who like their coffee big, brash, bold and dark - this one is for you - our very own Decadent Decaf Dark Roast.
Our Dark Roast comprises 40% Indonesia Sumatra Swiss Water Decaf, 20% Brazil Swiss Water Decaf and 40% Guatemala Estate CO2 Process Decaf.
As Decadent Decaf's answer to classic Italian artisan coffee, we roast this blend to the level of mahogany and the result is a satisfyingly rich and smokey coffee.
This is our first blend comprising Swiss Water Decaf carefully blended with CO2 Decaf to produce our ultimate Decadent Decaf Dark Roast. We hope you like it.

About the Sparkling Water CO2 Process of Decaffeination:
In science-speak, this is called supercritical fluid extraction. Basically, the process starts with the beans being immersed in carbon dioxide (same gas as in sparkling water) for around 10 hours.
After a thorough soaking, the pressurized CO2 containing dissolved caffeine is removed from the chamber which is returned to atmospheric pressure, allowing the CO2 to evaporate.
This allows the caffeine to be removed using charcoal filters. Again, this process avoids the use of any harmful substances and Decadent Decaf is investigating sourcing premium, great tasting beans using the CO2 Process for the future.
In environmental terms, the CO2 used is in a permanent cycle, rather than vented to atmosphere – there will be some further off-gassing when the beans are removed from the system (no process being perfect), but for the most part, it’s a closed system, which is good news for the environment.

I love coffee but my body has a real problem with the caffeine and I had to give it up except the odd one on a weekend. So happy to have stumbled across Decadent Decaf. It honestly tastes as good as the real thing and I can now drink as much as I like. Also noticed it's had a positive effect on my circulation problems. Result! This is my favourite so far.

I hunted high and low for a good decaf after my last supplier’s delivery times became farcical - 3 months for a bag of beans?! No, seriously! Anyway, we discovered DDCC recently and couldn’t be more pleased. I went straight for this Dark Roast as I like a full, rich flavour with good depth and no acidic aftertaste. Yes I know the coffee has gone! That’s the point - it goes down easily.. every day we drink it; it’s always the same quality, tastes as good as if not better than caffeinated premium coffees from round the world but it’s roasted in beautiful Sussex.. what’s not to like? I'd searched around for other decaf suppliers before I found Decadent Decaf and none of them produced a coffee that had a strong enough flavour for me. Since I've found Decadent Decaf I've been hooked. Their dark roast is absolutely perfect for me, it has all the flavour of the caffeinated coffee that I used to drink and I don't have to suffer through the effects that caffeine has on my body which are not very enjoyable. This is by far the best decaf I have come across and I have tried quite a few. This one does not leave the thirsty feeling of other brands. I feel as though I am drinking coffee I can enjoy. Try it with a combination of Oatmeal and cows milk for an even more indulgent flat white. Unreservedly recommend you give the Decadent Decaf Coffee Company a try.

Despite its dark roast appearance it is not in anyway bitter even when made quite strong. This is a really great blend for those who like a traditional dark 'Italian-style' roast (not very fashionable, these days, I know!) I use it for pour-over v60s and find it works great. I've tried all the DD darker roasts (4s and 5s) and this one is by far my favourite.

Having tried many decaffeinated coffees to replace the caffeine in my morning dose I have to say that the DDCC Dark Roast gives all the flavour and depth that one misses with other decaf blends. I find it hard to believe it is decaffeinated. Served with warmed milk, ( not hot ) it delivers a bold and satisfying coffee with a good cream too. Highly recommend,!

Love this dark roast decaf. At last a decaf that has plenty of rounded flavour without any unpleasant oiliness or hints of cardboard, unlike so many others. As someone who, for health reasons, can only have one caffeinated coffee a day, this coffee is a revelation.

I started drinking decaffeinated coffee during lockdown and was told that only Swiss filtered was truly decaffeinated. I was a coffee addict and never believed decaffeinated coffee could replace my normal coffee. I can truly say that I don’t notice difference. From the very first cup this coffee is delicious. I served it to a guest without telling them it was decaf and they complimented it saying it was a delicious cup of coffee. And was surprised to learn that it was decaf. I love this coffee and will never go back.

I like all Decadent Decaf roasts but as a lover of dark rich roasts one stands head and shoulders above the rest. That is their Dark Roast which is truly excellent. I now get it regularly delivered in 500g bags and never tire of it.
I’m never disappointed with any coffee from decadent decaf, but dark roast is always my favourite. I find it hard to enjoy a decaf anywhere other than at home now!

Due to severe continuous migraines I've had to cut out regular coffee from my diet. Coffee is the one thing I absolutely love and was absolutely gutted.
