Decaf Coffee Cupping Notes
This exciting Swiss Water Microlot coffee, consisting of Catuai and Cauvery arabica
varietals, comes from the Ratnagiri Estate in Southern India, not far from Bababudangiri where coffee was first grown in India. Coffee has been produced at this Estate for nearly a century at a near perfect altitude of 1240-1450 metres nestled in the hills surrounded by the great Silver Oak trees that tower over the coffee plants lending shade to the plants.
The coffee is made up of mostly of the Catuai Varietal bringing sweetness and fruit to the cup profile, which is balanced out by the Cauvery varietal that adds a fuller body and lovely creamy texture to the coffee. Cupping notes: sweet dried fruits, raisins, apricots, figs, dark caramel, toffee.
