The amount of caffeine in a cup of coffee depends on what type of coffee beans you are using and what type of drink it is! It also depends on the brewing process.

 

How much Caffeine is in a Cup of Brewed coffee?

An 8-ounce cup of Brewed Coffee usually has from 95 to 200 mg of caffeine. However, if you order a decaf brewed coffee, the content would be less. A decaffeinated brewed coffee would have 2 to 12 mg of caffeine.

 

How much Caffeine is in a Cup of Espresso?

 

Espresso is stronger and is served in smaller portions. A simple espresso of 1 ounce has 47 to 75 mg of caffeine. But if you order a decaf espresso, you would get 0 to 15 mg of caffeine.

 

How much Caffeine is in a Cup of Instant Coffee?

 

An 8-ounce cup of instant coffee would contain almost 27 to 173 mg of caffeine. A decaffeinated cup of instant coffee would also have the same amount of caffeine.

 

How much Caffeine is in different types of Coffee?

Different coffee drinks have different amounts of caffeine content. However, the average and much-appreciated drinks do not vary as much.

 

A medium Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, and Mocha all have the same amount of caffeine. 80 mg of caffeine. However, a larger drink would require upto 120 mg of caffeine.

What affects Caffeine in Coffee?

 

The amount of caffeine in a single cup of coffee is determined by numerous factors. The type of coffee beans you use, the type of drink you are having, and how much of it is brewed.

 

The caffeine amount also depends on how roasted your coffee beans are. Lightly roasted coffee beans have more caffeine content than heavily roasted one.
