Irish coffee is easy to make and is a delicious concoction. For first-timers, you do not have to worry. The process is simple and the result is delicious.
What do you need to make Irish Coffee?
Here are some of the ingredients you need to make the perfect blend of Irish coffee
- 2 teaspoons of brown sugar
- 1 cup of brewed coffee (original or decaf)
- 16 ounces of hot water
- ½ cup of heavy cream
- 2 ounces of any Irish Whiskey
These are the basic ingredients that are mandatory for a classic cup of Irish coffee.
Let’s Make some Irish Coffee.
Start off by letting the hot water sit for 2 minutes. Pour the water into two different mugs and add 1 teaspoon of sugar to each one.
After you have added the sugar, you need to pour the sugary water mixture over some hot coffee. Make sure to dissolve it so that the sugar dissolves
As the sugar dissolves pour in the 2 ounces of whiskey.
Take a separate bowl to make your whipped cream. Add in some heavy cream and blend it with a hand mixer or electric one. Mix it till the cream is whisked perfectly and is light and frothy.
Before spooning the cream meringue, make sure to blend and mix the coffee mixture. Take a warm spoon and place a layer of the whipped cream on the Irish coffee.
Garnish with whatever you want and you are done!
