How many nutrients, minerals and antioxidants are in decaffeinated coffee?

An often-misunderstood fact is that decaffeinated coffee contains similar levels of nutrients, minerals and antioxidants as it’s caffeinated cousin regular coffee.

In fact, it is a very easy way to contribute to your daily nutrition as people often have 2 or 3 cups of decaf coffee in a day…

So, how many nutrients and minerals are contained in decaf coffee?

Well, just one cup of decaffeinated filter coffee contains as much as:

2.4% of the recommended daily intake of Magnesium

4.8% of the recommended daily intake of Potassium,

2.5% of the recommended daily intake of Niacin Vitamin B3

And how many antioxidants are contained in decaffeinated coffee?

Decaf coffee contains high levels of the following antioxidants:

  • Hydrocinnamic Acid
  • Polyphenols
  • Chlorogenic Acid

Decaf coffee actually contains almost as much antioxidants as regular coffee. Regular coffee has just 15% more of the good stuff than decaffeinated coffee.
